On the surface it looks like you are aqdequately medicated, with low tsh and free t4 towards the top of the range. Of course we dont know if the free t4 is being converted into the active hormone t3. Not without testing.....
Do you feel ok? Good? If not, you need a free t3 test.

You've had good advice on your other post today.
An extra thought - you may have low stomach acid. Look at this page about it from Dr Myhill
drmyhill.co.uk/wiki/Hypochl...
I thought of this because you mention iron and anaemia.
Do you take anything for heartburn which would lower your stomach acid? Might be something like Omeprazole or any PPI or an over the counter item. These should only be taken for a few weeks, not long term. If taken for too long the stomach's acid is reduced too much and then you don't absorb the vitamins and minerals you need such as B12.
Also, have you had other thyroid tests, in particular for autoimmune antibodies? If you have these you may have what is called Hashimoto's. The docs can't do much about it, but many of us find that a gluten free diet helps to reduce the symptoms.
If you want to learn more about thyroid problems check out the ThyroidUK website.

Thank you xx
I don't take antacids
Would apple cider vinaigre work?
I'm in a gluten free diet because I have autoimmune PBC, I'm sure it's helping
Yes, i need to lead more about thyroid! I find the tests complicated
I'm seeing the doctor today and wasn't sure what to ask as I feel exhausted and get fobbed off..
Very unlikely a GP would do an FT3 test for you. Usually normally only an endo. Raw apple cider vinegar with the mother is great. Gluten free is great. How long have you been on levo? Why did you go on it? With those results on 50 i guess they'll want to take you off or reduce the dose. Your TSH is very low but docs don't like it very low.
Hello loueldhen
Thank you for your response
I was hoping to get referred back to the endo with results of FT3 so that he has more info to work with...
on levo for over 10years following thyroidectomy due to goitre
i really dont understand my thyroid results...i'm exhausted, why would the doc reduce/remove thyroid med?
Should i take T3? How do i know the thyroxin i'm taking is converting?
Any more info most gratefully recieved!!
Because you're quite near the top of the T4 range but your TSH is so low that at that level it is referred to as 'suppressed'. Which to GPs and endos would imply you were over medicated. Perhaps T4 does not work for you but without stopping it and seeing what y happens or persuading someone to give you T3 its hard to tell. I'm a T3 girl but it gets harder to get prescribed. You could try your GP to refer you to an endo. It takes so long. 6months on NHS here. I had to go private for first one.
Interesting! My GP has referred me back to the Endo and requested full thyroid bloods including T3. Previously, I stopped all Thyroxin (even though no thyroid as removed) following GPs advice as bloods came back over medicated. I was utterly wiped out, cold all the time,, so put back on at lower dose. Some improvement....does that suggest T3 would be good?
I have liver disease...T4 is converted into T3 in the liver????? And it's made in the thyroid, which I don't have....just wondering?
Out of my experience I'm afraid. I hope you get a good thyroid endo. I'm not sure I've met one yet. Your FT3 result might tell you more but that's an interesting surgery/scrip/TSH/FT4 combo you have there.
