recently had blood tests and they showed my FT4 is at 30?
Why would my FT4 be higher than normal? I’ve been having occasional racey heart however I am diagnosed hypo and hashimotos. I can’t understand why my FT4 has gone higher.
my TSH is 0.66 so that’s normal for me, I didn’t manage to get a recent FT3 reading however I’m due repeat bloods in 3 weeks so will ask for that then.
Any ideas why my FT4 is going slightly higher above the range and what I can do with my dosage above to try and rectify this? The range is up to 28 for FT4.
Many thanks for any advice

that’s true. I’ve also been having pain under my neck right side glands not sure if I’m just under the weather or it’s a hashimotos flare as you say. Having bloods retested soon again and getting another ultrasound on thyroid in the new year via my Endo
hi yes always same brand of T4 and T3 annoyingly I stupidly forgot and took my T4 before my bloods that morning however I only took them around an hour before blood test, so I doubt they’d have been through my system that quickly to effect bloods. I took my last T3 dose at 5pm the day before however.
even after an hour of taking them? Thank you that’s a relief then, I didn’t think they’d just jump up high (the FT4) for no reason. Do you know possibly why I’d be experiencing pain in my glands in my right side of my neck? Could this be thyroid related? My endo has mentioned an ultrasound scan in the new year waiting for an appointment to just check things out for me. But last time I had one I had a benign nodule that required nothing further. This was a few years ago now.
what do you think the neck pain could be? Oddly I had this same neck pain when I was first diagnosed 6 years ago and it went away when I was medicated properly with thyroid hormones
