Hi. There seems to be a lot of support groups in the north of England and Scotland, but i can't seem to find details of any in the south West of England. Are there any please? 😊

Haha sorry I thought you asked if anybody was in the south west in which case it would be a perfectly legible answer πŸ˜‚

Just reread your message and the answer is actually no not that i know of. There arent many of us from down here I don't think.

Hi. Not that I'm aware of (I'm in the southwest so I try to look out for local stuff.) BUT it is a big area.

Have a look at these threads. One of the posters may be near you.

Also have a look in the related posts box for a thread full of helpful advice on "Starting a Support Group".

Good luck

Thanks crabapple, but from your links it looks like a no!

I am a newbie, so not enough knoweldge to do it myself, but it would be good if someone started one down this way to share some knowledge of local specialists. Bristol is a couple of hours away, so too far to travel from where I live. 😣

There have been a number of inquiries (and replies) in the the past about local hospitals and/or endocrinologists. Run a search or put up another post. There are quite a few people from the area.

And hey, for a support group it's not about the knowledge: it's the support. Hopefully you learn together. :)

True, but I need to understand how things work or why they don't to get my head round them. There is so much info on the Internet, it's difficult to know what it true and what isn't. 😊
