Help With What To Eat

Awesomenesswalk222 profile image

I apparently don't have any thyroid problem.

My stomach has been bubling away for the past 4 days and I have felt brain fog. I don't know what to eat I'm scared I have leaky gut.

TSH was 2.52. That is all they give me on the printout

Awesomenesswalk222 Have you had thyroid function tests? If so, if you post results with reference ranges then members can comment

Your TSH was 2.52. While not ever so high, it does mean your thyroid's struggling, probably because of another disorder (I spotted your post on the "liver" board and see you're waiting for a liver ultrasound because your LFTs are out of whack). It could be your gallbladder.

Did you have any other thyroid tests, or was it just TSH? Any sign of FT4, FT3, TRAB, TPA or TPO in your list of blood tests. The reason I ask is that dodgy thyroids do cause gallbladder probs but not always.

What are you able to eat without problems at the moment?

Hello jazzw is there a definite link between gall bladder and thyroid issue then?

Oh yes. Rather than explain it badly, I'll let this article do the talking... hypothyroidmom.com/the-thyr...

Don't be fobbed off with fine. Did the printout have ranges?

Your stomach - did you have anything unusual or different to eat before it started bubbling? Does this happen often or just this once?

Please don't be scared of leaky gut - many of us have it and live with it. I understand that it's only microscopic stuff getting through, so not as leaky as it might sound.

You must be getting hungry. Have something simple to eat, but I think I'd avoid too much sugar and bread at first to see if that helps.

Some years ago I had myself tested for food sensitivities (for joint problems). They found oats and wheat were my main problems. After I had given them up for a few months, it dawned on me that I hadn't had my lifelong indigestion and bubbling stomach for ages and I've hardly ever had it since. What I'm trying to say is that you may be sensitive to something. It's often the foods that we eat regularly.

Hope you feel better soon.
