What Dose of Vitamin D?

What Dose of Vitamin D do we need - I was recommended to order the Carlson Super vitamin D drops as they drops absorb 100% of dosage unlike pills it gives 1000iu per drop allstarhealth.com/en-gb/de....

but how many IU's should I be taking a day?

Your vitamin D blood levels determine whether you need to supplement and, if so, how much.

reading of 12 ref range 80-150

You really need your GP to prescribe loading doses to correct your vitamin D deficiency. My GP prescribed 40,000iu daily x 14 days when my vitD was <10. That was followed by 2,000iu daily x 8 weeks. When I retested vitD had risen to 107.

Ok Thank you, I am in Spain so will try to get them to advise but I can not take pills hence why I was told to get the drops, they also come in 5000iu strength, here the pharmacist runs your blood test so perhaps I will get the higher dose and take 10,000 and retest every month until its in range, I need to go really slowly as I have so many intollerances to everything (long story). The pharmacists here work like GP's where they blood test and recommend and are excellent. so will get more advice from him
