T3 Freezing

Hi

Can anyone please help with T3 dosage. I am taking 100mg Levo and 15mg T3 and since staring T3 i am freezing cold. This generally happens in the afternoon ( i take it 1st thing in the morning ) and continues until i go to bed, although during the night baking hot, should i take an additional does of T3 when i get cold?

thanks

Did you reduce your dose of levo when you introduced T3?

If you are feeling cold I think you it might be worth increasing your dose. When we are on an optimum dose of whatever hormones we take we shouldn't feel cold. I'd increase by 1/4 tablet initially.

If your heart-rate or pulse rises too much you can drop back to your original dose.

(I am not medically qualified and take T3 only myself).

Yes reduced levo from 150mg to 100mg in September.

Initially when starting T3  felt sick, nervous, headache and sweating therefore reduced 30 mg tablet to 1/2 (15mg) been on since.

I also tend to suffer with backache to right-hand side liver area and the cold feeling has got worse to the extent i am freezing. I saw Mr Durrant Peatfield who suggested taking 75mg levo and  30mg of T3 should i now aim towards this ? thank you

I think Dr P's suggestion is correct. 75mcg of levo plus 30mcg of T3 (approx effect 100mcg levo) = 175mcg levo. Always do gradual changes.

Wadhamk,

You could try adding a second dose of 10mcg T3 taken 60-90 minutes before the afternoon chill.
