Sun exposure whilst on ndt

I was on Levo for 11 years went on my hols come home with lovely tan, changed to t3 last year and went on holiday and got terrible prickly heat and no tan!! Not sure what will happen this time I go away in 3 weeks I've been on NDT for 6 months.

Was thinking maybe I might go on sunbed and see what happens if no-one knows

I have had nice tans with both NDT and I think especially T3 but not much vitamin D with either.

I take 5000iu vit d supplement a day now iI found I was really low after my prickly heat holiday

It seems to be a bigger problem than I thought. I took 30,000 i.u. a week and only raised a few points. I hope you do better.

I have been on NDT for twenty years and pass the age where I want to get a tan on purpose..lol.. but I can spend hours in the yard or on the deck and I tan just fine. Never been a problem.

Normally I use SD50 or more as quite pale but prior to the last time I was on holiday I found out I was vitamin D deficient so used lower and got terrific prickly heat. I had it as a teenager too horrible! Pinz nuit Allergy is v good. I have no idea what my thyroid was doing at that particular time

Never had a problem with getting a tan and I am on T3 for years and before that was on NDT for about 8 months. I don't even think that there is any connection between these medications and sun tan.
