Well done again Mandy
I'm sure you are delighted.
3500 calories is equal to 1lb......that's about 14000 calories you have burnt
off this week.
👍
BRILLIANT!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just started at Slimming World too. I hope I am as successful as you. Lost half a stone so far in three weeks. You are proving that weight loss is still possible even with an underactive thyroid.
Well done.....I don't care what anyone says, dieting and losing weight is b----y hard! I lost about 1.5 stones 18 months ago. Go up and down a bit but still over a stone less. Now dieting again and more exercise to lose my last stone. You have done extremely well, Keep up the good work.
PS Just on my soapbox for a minute. At first I am always hungry on a diet and get sick of people telling me I should not be......only eating 1200 calories.....of course you feel hungry! Yes, it does improve and my body gets used to it after a few weeks but it does wind me up when people tell me I should feel really full....I don't.
it is hard, its just down to making the right choices
ive had days when i just cant fill up so i tend to eat a tonne of fruit, large amounts of water veggies and pasta
my brother actually told my son (my consultant) last night that he is allways hungry
my sons reply was 'well eat then'
Yes, I fill up eating loads of veg (which I love anyway).
I do get over feeling hungry, I suppose my stomach shrinks slightly?
im not a fan of veg but pile up on what i do like, im thinking of getting one of them spiral things and trying it out on courgettes and carrots
i do eat lots of chicken though, i swear one day ill start clucking and growing feathers but its cheap and fills you
Brilliant Mandy, congratulations! I gave up Slimming World when I was diagnosed with my thyroid problem. I just found my weight went up not down on Levo.
i was diagnosed 3 years ago and im ashamed to say ive gained 7 stone
ive set a 3 stone target for now and ill keep setting low targets until im at a good weight
i gained with levo, ndt and t3
It seems mad that our weight just goes up so easily. I think I put on two stone within the first few months of being on Levo. I hadn't changed anything else in my eating habits or exercise, the weight just piled on. I'm probably another two stone up now, and it's so frustrating. My youngest son gets married this year, and I'd love to lose some weight before the wedding. Just so I can buy something nice to wear.
