Nevermind mandy
Just get back on the wagon and keep going West...at least you're on it. I'm stuck in 'plus size' dept until I can get my @rse into gear. Rejoice in your loss and the rest will come off - in your own good time xx
You haven't lowered your dose of hormones? As Rapunzel says don't give up and keep going. If you've been keeping to your diet the only reasonable explanation is your dose of hormones or you need a small increase.
(I am sure you know I'm not medically qualified
i stopped taking meds 5 days ago, i know i shoudnt but i was feeling so ill, zero energy, anxiety through the roof, heart was constantly racing, was scared to walk up the stairs for the loo because how fast my heart would go and that was while on beta blockers
felt really over medicated
since stopping though i have felt better
the only thing that was weird was i didnt have brain fog
i designed personlised baby blankets for grand babies and crochet them
dont know what to do now re meds
Mandy your phrase :-
"zero energy, anxiety through the roof, heart was constantly racing, was scared to walk up the stairs for the loo because how fast my heart would go and that was while on beta blockers
"
says it all. Have you tried dropping your dose slightly as sometimes because we still feel bad we might raise it just a little bit too much.
If reducing slightly doesn't work I think it points that the source isn't agreeing with you in some way. Betablockers however can interfere with the uptake of hormones, so it's a no-win situation.

I used to have severe palps too but on levo. You've had some time of it and you wonder if you'll ever get well but if the Endo is co-operative hopefully you will.
If reducing doesn't work ask Endo if she will prescribe on a 3 months trial non-UK T3 which is on a named-patient basis probably much cheaper too.
It could well be 'fluid' (mucin) and not fat.
i have noticed my fingers have been feeling tight and today ankles are starting to swell
so i guess the combination of no thyroid meds and fluid really did me over last night
So sorry for you but I was exactly the same until I made sure my vitamins and t3 were optimal . Don't give up . 😊
I am so sorry Mandy and can relate as well. After a really good week on plan, I gained 1 lb. However, I lost 5 the next week, so keep your chin up and keep on plan. You will succeed.
