Meet up support group in Essex

Hi There i have just seen a support meetup being arranged in parts of the North i think its a great idea would anyone be interested in the Essex area i live in Rayleigh area willing to travel a few miles could do maybe once a month ?

Hi momo, I'm in Witham and have tried to get a group going in the Braintree area, all to no avail, si I would be interested in a group no furthersouth than Rayleigh. Please keep me posted. I look forward to hearing further news on this.

Hi Tarzan23... thats 5 of us so far will see by next week if any more then decide on meetup area that suits everyone i think its a great idea too hopefully more will come along

Hi There iam sorry for delay in coming back earlier we only have 5 keen on a support group its a shame would liked to have had a few more im really a newbie diagnosed Hypo last Nov

Hi Sal. if i can get a few to meet up ill arrange something im very new to this Thyroid only diagnosed in Nov ill check with the other replies and go from there

Yes me too but im getting a bit more knowledge mainly from here and Thyroid Uk but like you find it confusing ill be in touch im in Rayleigh too

Hi, before the end of August I'm hoping to meet J Bee and I'm near Benfleet... It'll be better to see if a get together in a pub or eating place was best and gather in what sort of time lunch time etc.. I don't mind getting to most towns but rural would be a challenge... Let's not do the normal and say it and not do it, even if a few can make it we can do it again.. I'm guessing it won't be a formal sort of group, so there's no reason why not to have a lunch out 😊 xx Jo (short for Joanna)

Hidden I have been in touch with scorpiojo this morning and we are both keen for a meetup. I did mention the 18 to her and we agreed we would contact again before then. However if you are going away on the 18 perhaps we could meet up when you are back and others would join us. Would be good to know of a few places where we could meet. My suggestions are the tea room at Battlesbridge or maybe the Magic Mushroom at Ramsden Heath (not sure of prices there though as have only been for an evening meal). The tea room at Battlesbridge is very reasonable and quiet.

Hi I would also be interested to meet up if it's happening I live in Upminster and happy to travel. I was diagnosed 4 years ago and still confused by the whole thing or is that a symptom lol !!

Hi Everyone who replied to an Essex meet up I am now Available to make some arrangements for a 1st meet up. ... I live in Rayleigh but happy to travel let's see if we can get started......I'm new to hypothyroidism from last September when I was diagnosed subclinical it's still on going with varies symptoms but I'm more up than down.. due to a Endo at Basildon who I saw in Sept who was very helpful by looking at all tests not just TSH. Plus vital do etc etc hope to hear and make a meet Soon.....Mo
