Thyroid UK Support Group Meeting. Merseyside

For anybody who lives in the Merseyside area, we have a support group meeting arranged on Monday 28 August 2023 at 7.30pm in the function room at the George Hotel, 1 Moor Lane, Crosby L23 2SE.

This is a bank holiday, but we’re meeting anyway.

Sorry if this is a silly question but what actually happens at a support group meeting?

We just all have a chat about any current subjects connected with thyroid issues.

Anyone who has questions can ask them, and if there’s a lot of questions, sometimes we break into smaller groups to discuss them. If anyone has a problem that they want to discuss privately I can go to one side with them and discuss one-to-one.

Thanks for this I would be interested in attending a group in Merseyside however I don't drive and it would involve 2 trains. If a group could meet in city centre sometime in the future that would be easier for me to attend

We have looked at other areas in Merseyside and we did meet in West Derby for a while but there weren’t many people attending. There was a group in central Liverpool before lockdown but they’ve stopped meeting now.

I’ll keep my ears open in case anyone starts anything up again and let you know.
