Following the thread about eyebrows, I wanted to share a photo of what once was. This was taken about 9 years ago. Wow, not only did I have a full arc, I had a jawline too!
Really interested to see how this illness has affected other's facial features too.
Great pic. Alas, poor eyebrows, I knew them once... not everyone loses them though. Mine were a third gone when my tsh was 1.8, I was highly symptomatic but apparently euthyroid. I also probably had low iron levels .. and very frizzy dry hair. Still have - it's how people recognise me.
But my friend diagnosed with a tsh of 60, her eyebrows were fine and her iron levels good.
Do those of us with missing eyebrows have a history of low iron in common? And how is the hair?
A bit thin and frizzy, I keep it longer in order to control it in a ponytail. I've always had a wave but it's pretty flyaway nowadays.
It's funny looking back, I had forgotten that my features didn't used to be so course, with a slim nose and no jowls!
