eyebrows

Hi all this is a silly question but just wondering when people say they lose outer third of eyebrows I assume they mean the brow furthest away from the nose, its just that mine seem to have gone closest to the nose also is it common to lose the middle circle of pubic hair I said it was silly.

Hi,

I was once ruled out of having a thyroid problem because too much of my eyebrows are missing! It seems the rule is most lose the outer third others like myself lose so much more.

What's pubic hair, haven't seen that since my teens, lol. Seriously very little remains and was always thin on the ground.

My eyebrows went completely at the outer edges, but also became very thin and patchy everywhere. 5 years on and I think they are beginning to regrow - very exciting!

I believe there is no one place the hair loss occurs I have lost lots of hair from front and sides of my head and outer third of eyebrows, some from same place as you but not directly near nose a bit further in, eyelashes have thinned and randomly fell out, so you are not being silly, hair loss is just so random you wonder what next?

Thank you for your question, it gave me a laugh!

My eyebrows used to meet in the middle when I was a teen, and spread all over my forehead! Used to pluck them. Now there's nothing to pluck.

I plucked them up until I was about 35 and then, for various reasons, didn't have time to pluck. Then noticed that rather than growing back all over the place, they'd shrunk to a thin line that started way past my nose and ended halfway across my eye socket! They look silly. lol But I'm more concerned about the hair on my head! That all dropped out but is now regrowing.

Oh, and I never did like hair Under my arms and around the pubic area, anyway! Some you win some you lose!!!

Glad you had a little laugh if you didnt with all this you would cry. Your eyebrows sound just like mine not plucked them for about 20 years and all I have now are two thin lines better than none I suppose ha. Glad your hair is growing back x

My eyebrows have thinned considerably, especially outer edges, used to be much thicker. And both underarm and pubic hair have disappeared in last 3 or 4 years. Was TSH 7 5 years ago increasing to TSH 8 last year. Now taking NDT, slight improvement in eyebrows. Just one or two more pubics, hair still thin and brittle.

This is not a silly question at all. I lost not only the outer third, but so much thinning of the whole brow it would need to be "painted" in. Under arms, along with public hair as well.

i think this is the only up side to this awful condition, no waxing needed for the last ten years,

Eyebrows aren't thick ? I hope you are aware of at least 10 side effects caused by Hypothyroidism ? If this is your only problem ur very much OK.

You ought to take daily Celen, B 12, Spirulina. Eat gluten free food. Brisk

walk twice in a day. You'll help metabolic functions and boost immune system. If you are on synthetic hormones so :

1. Seek an advise from your GP,whether to combine T4 with T3 intake.

2. Take Armour thyroid asuming your adrenal glands are OK.

However I'm not an endocrinologist.

Good luck !!
