Eyebrow tips 🤨

So T3 is doing its thing and I now have quite a Denis Healy situation developing!

I have at my disposal clippers, I hear some people use tweezers... I think not!😒

Are there other pain free solutions? Or is it just the norm that you remove and draw them back on an inch higher these days 😂

Shaping by 'Threading'? I don't find it painful. Cost about £8

No pain, no gain. I've had generally sparse hair growth all over with hypo but not sure I ever really lost outer third of eyebrows. Clipping would be useless, plucking is best for me.

just sit in a nice bath with an ice cube on your eyebrow till it goes a bit numb then get the tweezers.

After you've been plucking the same hair follicle for a couple of years the nerve endings will have given up bothering (even if the hair hasn't) and it won't hurt at all anyway .

Totally free , and allows very precise shaping.

As a total novice.... is there a shape chart for the desired look? I'm hoping to stick with the slightly wild woman/ keep away look... which works for my hair.... perhaps I should just go back to not looking in the mirror with my glasses on! 😬

Dunno . i've never given that much of a **** . i just try to keep them vaguely resembling 'eyebrows' as opposed to 'caterpillars with mange' and stop them joining up with my forehead.

Nothing could get mine to look perfect nowadays ,as they have insisted on being different shapes to each other since i was about 45.... i definitely have 'good' side

Confidence is way more attractive than eyebrows can ever be .

of course if you're too chicken to do it yourself~ you could always invite a bunch of us round for a variation on the game of Pin The Tail on the Donkey

I'm with you, I've never given the least bit of attention to these matters, hair gets cut when it gets on my nerves.... as usual after the initial surprise when I spotted these brutes this morning I'm a bit over it...had thought I'd just take the clippers to the bits that stick out.... like I do with the dogs!

😆Sadly/ thankfully being a reclusive donkey I don't invite people round 😅

I'm not sure I know what a 'normal' eyebrow actually looks like.... most youngster on screen seem to go for enormous ones and the 'older ladies' seem to have a leaning towards really skinny things that seem to have taken fright and jumped up onto their foreheads 🤣

Don't go for 'skinny' , that always looks contrived and crap, and of course (as sod's law dictates) it will take bloody aged for those ones you DO later decide you want, to grow back in again .

hold a pencil from the outside corner of your nostril to the outside corner of your eye .. there should be no eyebrow beyond that line .

if my daughter knew you were asking me for beauty advice she would be ROFL

I'm going to put it out there... skinny eyebrows to me signal 'beware fake person'

They are kinda in the right place but about an inch long!

absolutely . ( mind you i tend to hang out with people who look like yetties anyway) .

P.s you do know a tattybogle is a scarecrow ?

I'd never thought to google you! Does that make me a tattybogle donkey?? Cool!

You've got a book and everything!

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bogle

"A bogle, boggle, or bogill is a Northumbrian and Scots term for a ghost or folkloric being, used for a variety of related folkloric creatures including Shellycoats, Barghests, Brags, the Hedley Kow .... They are reputed to live for the simple purpose of perplexing mankind, rather than seriously harming or serving them."

I do my best ...

So you see ~ i'm not really a scarecrow , that is just my fiendish disguise so i can get you when you go for a moonlit walk .. and i know what you look like now.

Right, that's it the eyebrows stay to hide behind whilst carrying out my pagan rituals

Wow, what a great description of you!.... did they have donkey's? Perhaps being a southerner I'm more of a Morris Dancers 'Obby Oss'

i know naught about naughty donkeys . i was always told to give 'em a wide berth lest they eat my arms .

Apparently it has been a good description of me since birth ... when first presented to my grannie she allegedly said "whatever are we going to do with that child's hair? she looks like a coconut "

My poor mothers feelings were salved by a scottish visitor who said " och , she looks like a wee tattiebogle" ~ and so a tattybogle i became .. which i always thought was a really cute name ....... until i was about 32 and mooching around a big old house at a party in Galloway .. found a library, and found a really old book of folklore .. and found the description "Tattie bogle ~a hairy potato goblin "... not so cute anymore .

wish i could find a copy of that book , but i was off my head on mushrooms all weekend and can't remember where the house was or what the book was called.

If any of you live in a big rambling house by the sea in Galloway and used to have people living in your garden , please could you look in your library ? .. i seem to remember it was just off the massive hallway with the trapeze in it.....

Bizarre... I had a similar experience at 18 with shrooms and a country pile.... never found the library but had really sore jaw muscles from gurning 😬... never did either again 😆

We're in trouble now 😯(high eyebrowed face)

Skinny eyebrows on me would then make my hair look like an unkept wig 🤣

Oh dear!!!! Eeyore. Good job you can't see me and mine. As far as I know I'm real :-)

I can vouch for your realness 🤗.... it's one of my knee jerk reactions to people.... are yours scared, skinny or both only counts if you’ve faked them?

:-) Thank you. Mine are faint like my hair, and not as wide nor as full as they once were.... so possibly tired? sometimes scared when medicines are hard to get hold of...definitely aged :-) xx
