Anyone knows if I could take Senokot in the evening please? I take NDT in the morning. I am constipated as I take iron :(

Lopushanya, take 500mg-1,000mg vitamin C with each iron tablet to aid absorption and minimise constipation. You can take Senokot but take it at least 2 hours away from NDT.

Hi Clutter

Thank you for your reply, I do take it with vitamin C.

After seeing your advice I am taking Senokot.

So frustrating !

Tip that's helped me with constipation: Apples stewed up with raisins or sultanas with cinnamon, eaten twice daily and a raw carrot everyday.

Thank you for the tip mocah, I will give it a go.

I am on Solgar gentle iron, which shouldn't make me constipated but it does :(

Oh brill thank you, i have started taking it. It took ages to get my bowels working with chia seeds, now because I am on iron - it's pants again!

Have you considered taking a different iron supplement? Maybe one based on haem or ferritin (rather than the usual ones)? It is reported by some that they have very much less of an impact on the gut.
