Are you on any meds? If you are taking T3 that might lower your T4. If not, you might consider secondary hypothyroidism. Which means that your pituitary isn't functioning properly and could mean you also have adrenal issues and sex hormone problems.
No not any any thyroid Meds it's my second test & we're both the same !! Have got to have t3 tested in about 6 weeks.
Crawford, you are UNDER the lowest part of the FT4 range at 11, correct? You should be closer to the top which is probably 20???
How do you feel? You TSH is not bad at all as long as you are not having symptoms.
If you aren't experiencing symptoms YET, you could try supplementing with thyroid supporting minerals and vitamins. Magnesium and vitamin C with licorice root might boost your adrenal glands. Sometimes the thyroid gland cannot produce enough hormone because it lacks iodine. There are other reasons as well.
I'm in the same boat. Ft4 of 11 with a range 11.5+ and tsh is 0.7 Range 0.4+. Who have you been seeking help from, did your Gp do these bloods for you? I was awake all night worrying about secondary hypothyroidism and pituitary tumours. I'd previously been thinking Hashimoto's as it is rife in my family but my tpo antibodies were only 31. I'd be interested to hear if you get any answers. What kinds of symptoms do you have?
Thanks for your replies my gp has been doing bloods !! I do take several other Meds diazipam venlafaxine omoprazole also have hydro b12 injections for pa I do have lots of thyroid symptoms but have had for more years than I care to remember 😓 Have read that diazipam & omoprazole can affect tsh. I have also had 13 courses of. Antibiotics & predisone in the last 12 months which I think can also affect it .
Crawford, 13 courses of antibiotics...is a lot. Did you take probiotics or nystatin since having them, certainly your digestion is really off? That means you are probably not getting your nutrients and minerals like iodine and iron and also B12. It's not good to take pharmaceuticals to rectify this sort of problem as they add their own kind of poisons.
Crawford, please consider supplementing and starting on a program to heal your gut. This may also take care of thyroid deficiency as well as the others. There are many good websites which can help you heal your gut. Stay away from all drugs, even aspirin, if you possibly can.
I have had a chest infection every month & have copd so have to have them & yes do have a lot of stomach issues also !! Iron & b12 were fine on recent bloods.
