Tomorrow at 2pm I am having a full bloods test inc Thyroid. Would it be OK to take my Thyroxine very early in the morning?

Hello Sylvia it's always considered best policy to have bloods taken early morning appointment 8am ish is good! Also delay taking medication until after blood draw.

Hi Sylvia

As mentioned by sillymiss it is usually best to have the blood test as early as possible but you may not be able to do so due to other circumstances.

I would still miss your morning dose of levo and take it after your blood test at 2 p.m..You can also return to your usual dose next day.

I notice you haven't completed your Profile giving your thyroid gland history, which is helpful when responding if we need a little background info. :)

No. And, for future reference, your bloods should always be taken as early in the day as possible, as by 2pm all sorts of things have gone on in your body that can skew readings.
