After waiting weeks to see my Dr I eventually got an appointment today. Told her I don’t feel well was it my thyroid, peri menopausal . She said my last thyroid blood results were fine so she would do a blood test for my iron, ferritin and folate ... YES II have been wanting these tested for ages. So went to the phlebotomist to get bloods drawn and I said, I will request a copy of these bloods . Why she said the doctor will tell you if they are good or bad . I said to her well it’s my health and I have an interest in my health and feeling better. Well she said you look too much into things and you should trust your doctor you are only looking for trouble . I was so gobsmacked I couldn’t answer her back. I walked out the surgery and could of cried, it’s like fighting against the tide and getting nowhere. It’s so frustrating and it’s not easy to get a new Dr in Scotland . Feeling so deflated and back to square one . Yes my Dr was okay but she really couldn’t care that I feel so bad . Will now look into going private

No need to tell them you will be requesting your results. Just go to reception a few days after the test and ask for a print out. As long as your GP has seen the results you are entitled to them.
Pah, ignore the silly numpty! You're entitled to a copy and it's none of her business.
See what your results are, post them on here, and see what your next steps should be.
Don't give up
With all due respect to the phlebotomist for her place in the NHS, what on earth has it got to do with her ?
That’s exactly what I thought, just wish I had never mentioned it to her. Will know the next time not too speak to her or ask advice ...
To be honest, having been diagnosed with Graves’ a year ago, I’ve always found the endos very happy to answer my questions, share and explain results etc. My GP have me info initially, but they haven’t really been involved in my treatment.
What a horrid and upsetting experience for you but at least each time we experience this we are more prepared for the next time. I'm sure these things are all far easier to cope with once we are euthyroid, sure it's part of being hypo that makes us feel so miserable when put down.
Best of luck
How extraordinary! I expect you know already but just in case you don't you are now, I am sure, entitled to access these via systmonline.tpp-uk.com. You have to be registered first which means requesting this at the surgery. It's worth asking in writing to avoid being messed about as they are obliged to give you access in two weeks from when you ask. You will need to provide proof of identity, which, if they are like my surgery, they will lose the first time!
Once you have access you can bypass receptionists etc and see online your test results (from your GP, not sure how to do this for hospital results) and also make appointments and request repeat prescriptions online. It saves a lot of time and hassle.
No sorry can’t open up the link ..
