Hello

I noticed in the private doctors list that some use urine testing rather than blood tests. Please could someone explain why?

Many thanks in advance.

Josiesmum,

Sorry you didn't get a reply earlier.

Urine testing is not a good way to determine hypothyroidism.  If you do choose to have a urine test instead of blood test do make sure you have a practitioner who can interpret the results for you as I've not seen anyone able to do so on the forum.
