Hi, after years of feeling rubbish and GP saying my results are perfectly normal and trying to give me antidepressants, I just wondered if anyone had decided to take NDT or any other thyroid medication themselves and felt better ?
Been told thyroid results are normal: Hi, after... - Thyroid UK
Been told thyroid results are normal
Yep. Totally fine now
I got diagnosed with hypothyroidism by the late Dr Skinner but the diagnosis was dismissed by the NHS. After Dr Skinner died I couldn't face starting a fight with the medical profession on the subject of my thyroid so I started treating myself. I've never regretted it.
It depends what they call "normal". It turned out I felt dreadful of T4 so saw Dr P and worked out how to take T3 which I have to deal with myself. Why dont you try to make an appointment with Dr P? I have never felt better since doing this.
Good luck
OI self medicate on Erfa after being refused treatment by the NHS. Things have definitely improved.
