Hashi treatment in Sweden

We are considering moving to Sweden next year, and with my plethero of health issues the one I am most afraid of is not being able to access T3 and having a constant brand Of T4 ... I am wondering if any members here have had any Scandinavian experiences of the thyroid health care :)

What I know is that in Norway it is easier. So you can just pop in Norway and continue your medication.

In Estonia doctors prescribe T3 too but might be easier for you to go to Norway as it is not that far away. In Sweden it seems to be pretty much the same than in Finland that it is hard to get t3/ or proper treatment.

thank you, I have been reading thyroid Europe and its not looking promising. If I cant a guarantee treatment we cant go. I am slow enough already. :/ we will be living quite high up if we make it out and the nearest Norwegian town would be Mo I rana some 2/3 hours drive out side of the winter season :)

If I were you I would just call or e-mail the local hospitals/private practices around the area you are moving to. In a good case you could naturally find treatment from Sweden especially if you already are on T3 and it works for you. In those cases I assume even in Sweden they would continue prescribing it easier.

In Norway and Sweden private and public healthcare are pretty much the same giving the patient a freedom to choose the place where you want to be treated. You could call the thyroid patient association and ask them which doctors are good ones, tho in Norway it might be possible it is any doctor just by consulting a specialist.

My sort of boyfriend is Norwegian and we are discussing about me going to Norway to get treatment as he is looking for the answers for me, 3 of his cousins are doctors.
