Iron blood tests results
Harlech, Ferritin is slightly improved. You will probably need to supplement for 4-6 months to see much improvement. I'm not very knowledeable about iron but it looks as though iron and tranferrin saturation may have dropped as iron moves into ferritin.

Clutter. Thank you for replying. I was a little confused because you think when you supplement things would increase, the ferritin did but others went down.I asked gp & told normal. Went on Monday for blood test vit d & found out the they were also doing a repeat of the iron.I now wait & see what these results show.
Harlech, I really don't know much about iron and ferritin but levels fluctuate throughout the day. Ferritin is an iron storehouse. Iron excess to immediate requirement is dumped into ferritin to be withdrawn when needed. When we're ill with a virus or bacterial infection iron is dumped into ferritin to starve the virus or bacteria which is why high ferritin may be a sign of inflammation in the body.
