Im 60 with a variety of medical conditions arithitus, hypertension, type 2 diebetes (controlled), my late mother had an underactive thyroid which ceased to exist, lots of thyroid family history too. I have symptoms which lean towards myself having a thyroid problem too. Initially I just had my bloods done which they say normal but reading info on internet a 13.8 T4 reading does not seem to normal. Can anyone advise on this test reading please?

I got the below results back today and my GP has said normal huh?

Serum TSH level = 1.21 mUl

Serum T4 level = 13.8 nmol/L

Welcome to the forum, Sleeplassinuk.

TSH is unequivocally euthyroid (normal). Do you have the ref range (figures in brackets after results) for FT4? 13.8 is normal if your range is 10-22.
