Hi,

Can somebody please help.......My Serum Creatinine level came back as 85 umol/L

Range = 45.00-84.00 umo/L...........

Gillandandy, if you were a little dehydrated when you had the blood draw that can raise your level which is mildly over range.

Thyroid hormone enables the kidneys to function at a normal rate. When deficient it causes a decrease in the glomeruler filter action rate and creatinine will raise.

Increasing thyroid hormones should increase GFA and creatinine should fall but hard to confirm without thyroid bloods.

Have you recent results you can post complete with ranges (numbers in brackets) for members to comment.

I had raised creatinine at the beginning of this year but is ok now.

I always had normal creatinine but since starting thyroxine its increased last result was 88umol/L

I did fast pre bloods so hopefully related to dehydration?? And gets better not worse....
