Hello sorry you've been feeling awful, I can sympathize been there many times. Do you have the ranges? Numbers in brackets in front of results? Think people here find it easier commenting. Not that i can be of much help because all I learned was from folks here, but if you write the range will help the ones who are knowledgeable :)

The range for tsh is 0.4 - 4.5 I think ... The doctor has said "normal"

That is a pretty normal TSH, but that's not the most important. Do you have the ranges for the FT4 and FT3?

Isn't it strange you feel awful and obviously have symptoms but the doctor pronounces you 'normal' because the blood tests are 'in range'. I will give you a couple of links because we have to find our own way sometimes through a maze. By the way, what has he suggested for medication if he says c.f.s. or fibro?

this happened to a friend of mine. she was not eating right... turns out he was LOW in b12 and now takes it under the tongue..the meth form which is the highly absorbable form, omega 3 and turmeric with pepperine for inflammation and a high grade multi vitamin and d3........low iron, low b12, low omegas, low d3 all cause the same symptoms of thyroid.........it takea about a month to see a difference.....after taking all the right supplements and eating correctly.....3 meals aday with whole foods and less junk and less sugar.....

a friend told me to try pure encapsulations THYROID SUPPORT when my energy tanked and I felt like a old woman hence I didn't know I had low ft3 yet bec it wasn't time for blood test, I took 2 a day away from thyroid meds and all I can say is WOW...it really works fast.....if I had not been losing hair when I shower...I would have not even know my ft3 was low....I became a new person In just days........it was a shock that a supplement could be that amazing.......it works fast but doesn't make you jittery or anything...just gave me my life back in a week.

There's nothing magical about it, it's just a collection of vitamins and minerals. It contains iodine. Iodine can stimulate the thyroid to make more hormone, and because of that often makes people feel better short-term. But if you're hypo, iodine can be contre-indicated. You really should have an iodne test before taking supplementary iodine. And if you have Hashi's, it could make things worse.
