Hello Tulip,
Tell me about it........! ! !
If you are tearful & paranoid your med dose may not be quite right.
Unbalanced hormones can effect sleep patterns as well as giving us physical symptoms.
Can you post last thyroid hormone test results (before dose raise) ..complete with ranges. ..( numbers in brackets.).. for members to comment.
Also any Vit//iron test results.
I have tried 5HTP to encourage sleep recently but took too much which made me tremory (..is that a word..? ? .). inside my body so stopped but think I will try again on a lower dose. Others find melotonin helps which I haven't tried.
Maybe try meds in the am again as is easier to take on an empty stomach. Then you can snack before bed to keep adrenals happy.
Otherwise it's the usual.....stop computer activity and have a bath before bed, etc.....I don't worry about sleep atm as am not working and just consider sleep will eventually come when it's ready.

Hi I don't have results but will get them, I remember vit D was borderline gp said, my b12 had come from over 400 last yr to I think was 320. He said I was ok and decided to up my dies for a month, that is up on Wednesday, I did say if no change would he refer me. I really want to get back to being happier instead of a pathetic cry baby... I know I'm not alone and reading on here makes you realise that. I am currently off work at mo with a knee prob and ankle swelling. I just want to get back to work....
My works are going to put me on a car so I don't have any lifting and handling, and only 3 days a week instead of 5,
Sorry for going on and I appreciate this forum, thank you. Hayley (I have gone on a bit ).
Tulips,
You are not a pathetic cry baby...... it a hormone imbalance that once righted will give you your old self back again...! ! !
I have just come through a med change together with other horrid health issues and although feel so much better...I still cry everyday...just accept it.....it's easier....
A nutrient deficiency can affect sleep but in particular thyroid meds from synthesising in the body.
Ask your GP to retest Vit D, Vit B12, folate and ferritin and post results complete with ranges (numbers in brackets ) for members to comment. There are common deficiencies in people with thyroid issues.
A doctors " normal" or " boardline" is not usually not a level that members have found to be most beneficial. The chances are you will need to supplement something.
You are lucky being able to work...they must appreciate you lots if accommodating your present disabilities....I miss mine and need to return soon for my sanity...lol.
Flower.
Thank you yes I will get gp to do test again and def post results. I love my job as been doing it for 17yrs. My fingers are crossed they will help me out.
Sorry your not at work at the moment and I do hope in time you also return as I feel we need this, thanks again for replying 😁 x h
Zinc & Magnesium is great for sleep & as both are extremely important minerals, it's win win.
I take 400mg Mag & 40mg Zinc
I realise this is an off the wall suggestion, but I've started sleeping in a hammock every night and it has completely cured my insomnia.
