Struggling for an answer...

Hi, I've recently had bloods done, my tsh came back as 0.91 (range0.38-4.70)

I've been told this is fine and that I don't need my t3 or t4 testing. Is this correct?

I have pretty much every symptom in the book for underactive thyroid, have done for years, I have lichen planus (auto immune) anyway which really doesn't help with the feeling total poo either. also, my haemoglobin is 118 (range125.00-165.00) and my lymphocytes aren't great, 1.30 (range 1.50-4.00) haematocrit 0.36 (range 0.37-0.47)

My dr has admitted he hasn't a clue what's wrong with me and has given up until I have another episode. I'm currently having remission from the worst of it, been feeling not too bad for about 4 weeks now but I know it won't last.

Thanks in advance. 😊

Do you have any earlier results you could post up on the off chance that they may include FT3 and FT4?

Not really, this has been going on for over 10 years but I never seem to get anywhere. I just seem to keep having the same tests over and over. I have low blood sugar problems as well, I've been tested almost annually for diabetes, No one will listen when I say I'm not diabetic, I have hypoglycaemia symptoms, I excluded refined/processed sugars from my diet and providing I eat regularly and don't binge on carbs I can keep that under control, except when I'm going through another 'attack' then everything is spinning, my eyes hurt, everything is weird like I've got fluorescent vision, headaches, muscle fatigue, muscle cramps, extreme general fatigue, shaky, panicky etc etc

I've recently had an ecg as I was having palpitations, but that came back fine apart from a slow pulse.

I'm just not sure what to do now as the dr refuses to test for any further thyroid issues.

Has he tested thyroid antibodies. As Cinnamon_girl says, do you have any previous blood test results.

No antibodies tested, he was talking about testing for ra, so we are waiting until I feel awful again before having any tests again, he wants to tests for auto immune

When you get a blood test for your thyroid gland hormones, it should be the earliest and fast (you can drink water). Our TSH is highest then and many doctors only go by the TSH at the expense of symptoms. If you have antibodies you would have hashimotos. It's good he's testing for R.A and I hope it isn't. If he wont test for Free T4 and Free T3 (especially FT3) you could maybe get a FT3 blood test privately.

Thanks, my last test was a fasting test, I had it at 10.30am, is that early enough? When I'm having an attack I usually start to feel worse by 11ish, then gets worse again after 2-3pm.

That's a bit late. It should be before 9.0 am - preferably about 8.0 am.

You copy of blood tests with the ranges. This is an example of blood test results:

Antibodies could confirm you have hyperthyroidism.
