Hi Diana, I'm in the UK but I boost my magnesium by soaking in a bath with magnesium flakes - look on Amazon I found it on the us Amazon site but I'm having difficulty cutting and pasting tonight - every time I do it I lose my email. I also use a magnesium oil spray and spray the soles of my feet then put on a pair of socks to help it be absorbed.

If you Google you will find lists of magnesium rich foods and the amounts of magnesium your body needs. I don't take supplements - occasionally I take a vitamin / mineral supplement which has magnesium in it but I prefer to soak or spray it on - hopefully some others on here who do supplement might come along and make more suggestions. 😊

Diana, just about any magnesium supplement except magnesium oxide should be helpful.

I take magnesium citrate tablets. They should be taken in the evening because they make some people a bit sleepy. In high doses it has a laxative effect (and is often used to clear out the bowel before colonoscopy, for example), but at normal supplement doses the laxative effect hasn't been noticeable to me.
