Thought I had found news re new testing but it appears to be an article indicating that the companies that produce the TSH and t3 and t4 test are looking at making some pretty good money off of all the people with thyroid issues. Ticks me off.

Not so useless Candytuft. It is something we all need to be aware of. Perhaps best sticking with Labs that we already know about.
Rosalind Pitt-Rivers' work on T3 profited the Medical Research Council, as patent royalties were paid. Back in the 1950s, T3 "was proven to be widely useful for diagnosis and treatment of thyroid disorders."
