Getting there... maybe

So yesterday I had my blood taken - again. Keeping the vampires in the NHS basements alive I think. This time I asked the nurse what tests were being done (i had only been told 2 but they took 3 vials). Turns out they are testing:

TSH

TPO antibodies

Iron

Vitamin D

and ESR.

My doctor apparently thinks I may have anemia, despite the fact that it has never come up but thyroid issues have, and wants to rule it out before starting me on Levo.

It's kind of sad but I felt really ill over the weekend before my bloods were taken and I am kind of hoping it was because of a flare up that raised my anti-TPO because I am so ready for an answer now. I think if the results come back and they want to do more tests I will cry/scream. I am so close to starting to get treatment instead of being

A) treated like a hypochondriac

B) told to "wait and see"

C) told to come back in 3 months for more tests

and I don't think I can handle being put back into one of those categories.

Aerocognie, chin up! The tests will narrow things down. Post the results with the lab ref ranges (figures in brackets after the results) in a new question and members will advise.

I hope you're feeling better now.
