Timings reblood test etc .....

Hi everyone ,

I am due to have a blood test next week and wondering when to take medication on that day? I usually take 2 x nutrimeds porcine first thing along with 10 T3. ( I then take same again in afternoon)

My endo thinks I am on 50 MCG T4 and 10 T3 but after 4 years of trusting them and still feeling horrendous I've been self treating with help of Dr P.

Ive been on this dose about 6 weeks ( raising porcine gradually) and yet to feel well .

Not sure what the blood test will show, and how is it affected differently with the NDT?

He mentioned that if my tsh was still too high ( last time 11) that he would suggest I go up to 75 T4 and keep the small amount of T3

I know that will make difference and don't intend to follow his advice but am frightened to tell him what I'm doing as I know from previous discussions he is very anti NDT !

Don't take your meds on the day of blood tests, leave 24 hours at least when taking T3. Also have blood drawn as early in the day as possible, e.g. 8 - 8.30am.
