Kathmax, can you add the lab ref ranges (the figures in brackets after your results). It isn't possible to interpret the FT4 without them.
As Clutter says, but could you also give us a little more information such as any medication you are on or a diagnosis you have been given. This will help us to help you
Just had a look at your previous posts. You mentioned pain in your calves and a partial thyroidectomy. Have you had your calcium level checked? If it is not right it could be causing the calf pain in the night. There are two common causes of calcium problems. One is a vitamin D deficiency and the other is parathyroid problems. Occasionally parathyroids can become damaged during a thyroidectomy so it might be worth looking into it.

Not on any meds was told everything was ok but after 10 weeks after having op I expected to have more energy and not feel this tired.
I suspect the remaining half of your thyroid is unable to make enough thyroid hormone to make up for the missing half. Although your results are in range, they may not be normal for you and your t4 is rather low in range.
Can I ask why half of your thyroid was removed? Were you hyper before the op? If you were hyper before the op, your TSH be delayed in increasing with your low t4. It would be wise to get tested again shortly and see if there is any deterioration. Given your t4 level, I would expect your TSH to be higher, although this certainly doesn't follow for everyone.
My non-medical judgement is that you are now slightly hypothyroid due to the hemithyroidectomy. You may have a battle on your hands getting treatment but please do persevere if the other half of your thyroid continues to not be able to produce enough thyroxine. You may find a doctor willing to treat you.
Make sure your next blood test is first thing in the morning before breakfast as this will give a more accurate indication of your thyroid status. We have a circadian rhythm of thyroid hormone production so levels vary throughout the day.
I hope you get some help from your doctor soon!

Had it removed due to large goiter that was causing breathing problems.Last blood tast was 7 weeks ago and was told all was ok they then discharged me from hospital and said they would write to my local Dr for me to have a blood test once a year. What is hypothyroid ? I really appreciate your help, thankyou.
You are totally welcome
Hypothyroid means having an under active thyroid - it's not producing enough thyroid hormones for your body's needs.
I would explain to your GP that you are feeling terrible and would like a follow up blood test to make sure that the remaining half of your thyroid is making enough thyroid hormones. Remember to get the blood drawn first thing before you eat. If your levels have got worse, you have your argument for thyroxine treatment. It still might be a bit of a battle though.
A goitre is often a sign that the thyroid isn't producing enough thyroxine. It can also be a sign of iodine deficiency. It might be worth asking the doctor to check this too. Iodine deficiency could also explain some of your symptoms. Iodine is needed by the body to make thyroid hormones. Don't supplement with iodine until you know you are deficient as it can cause its own problems if not needed.
