Thanks do much to everyone for all your assistance last week. You were all so helpful and I've taken on board lots of your thoughts. I've raised my B12 supplements and also am now up to 1:25 grains of Naturethyroid. Will keep you all posted on progress. I wonder if you can advise me on my mums recent thyroid results. She has fibromyalgia and often feels unwell. Her results are:

Total thyroxine 97 (range 59-154 )

Free T4 15.2. ( range 12.0 - 22.0)

Free T3 4.6 ( range 3.1 - 6.8 )

TSH. 2.79 ( range 0.27- 4.2)

No antibodies.

She has been told she is fine and required no treatment.

Will be so grateful to hear your thoughts. Thanks so much x

Hi, all my bloods were in normal range but I had a lot of Fibromyalgia pain, My endo wouldn't do anything so I am self medicicating( not advisable, ideal best to find endo you can work with) anyway I am using T3 and starting to feel much better! I have a long way to go but know I am on the right track! i am following Dr Lowe protocol after reading his book! Highly recommended for all pain related the thyroid conditions!

Hi

My thoughts about your mum's results are they look normal, but TSH is on the high side. She should maybe have her Thyroid bloods retested in 6-12 mths.

Her TSH is a bit on the high-side. In an ideal world, everything over 2 would be regarded as suspicious.

Her FT4 is way too low, not even mid-range, which means that her FT3 is too low - once again, not quite mid-range when most people need it up near the top of the range.

Given that she feels unwell, and has been 'diagnosed' with fibro, I would think she could probably benefit from a trial of thyroid hormone replacement.

But have her vits and mins been tested? She could be low on some of those, and that would make her feel unwell.

Hugs, Grey
