I have a question about Nature-Throid: it seems that most patients are happy with it, although it was reformulated like Armour. So how can NT work better than Armour?
Nature-Throid: I have a question about Nature... - Thyroid UK
Nature-Throid
No-one has said Nature-Throid works better than Armour. All the NDTs are able to effectively make one feel better than levo, but it is a 'trial and error' to find the 'One' that suits the patient. It's how our own bodies react to the fillers/binders usually and sometimes it's the dose. Either too little or too much can cause a problem. The NDTs are forumulated by different companies.
As Shaws says, it's not about Nature-Throid actually working better than Armour. It's absolutely an individual thing. Armour seems to be fine for many people, others feel better on Nature-Throid and yet others are happiest on Erfa. There are also some who don't notice a difference with any of the brands, and hence may make their choice based on cost if this is relevant for them
Thanks to both of you! I have been getting the information that NT is still a good drug, and Armour useless, from the STTM...I am beginning to suspect not all things are as black or white as described there...
I am currently taking Erfa and have been for about 9 months. I have previously taken Armour and can't tell the difference
