I have been visiting my doctor.
Would anyone please like to help me to interpret the result of the blood tests?
T3 = 5,1
T4 = 21
TSH (Tyrotropin) = 6,1
TPO (antibodies) = 7
TSH-rec (antibodies) = 1,0
Thanks in advance!

If you are on meds then there could be an uptake or a conversion problem? Tsh is high and free t3 looks on the low side. But hard to speculate and also we need to see the reference ranges - the numbers in brackets after the test results.
How do you feel?

McNels, TSH 6 indicates hypothyroidism. FT4 and FT3 look ok but it's a guess without seeing the reference ranges (figures in brackets after your results). Without the ref ranges it isn't possible to say whether your antibodies are positive or negative.
Thank you for the comment!
I didn't get any ref ranges... should I have got that..?
McNels, yes, ask for the ref ranges whenever you are given your results. They vary across the UK, Europe and rest of the world. It's important to know where in the range your results are.
Yes, one wants to know WHERE in the range the results are!
That's the reason why I posted them - wanted them to be interpreted.
I am from Sweden. And they didn't provide me with the ref ranges...
If I hadn't asked for my results to be printed out I wouldn't get them either..
They did just tell me that your thyroid tests are a little bit high.
Thank you for encouraging me to ask them for the ranges!
I didn't know if one could..
McNels, it is enshrined in the UK Data Protection Act that UK patients are entitled to see their test results if they request them. Nevertheless, we're often fobbed off with 'they're normal' or 'you wouldn't understand them' and have to make a formal subject access request under the Act.
If the GP practice is unable to supply the lab ref ranges I usually advise members to check with the hospital pathology lab. Some publish them online. Others have to be telephoned.
I hope I didn't sound hard...
It wasn't my intention.
