Sorry Shaws ...my reply should have gone to Sue11.......I was just stating what happens at our surgery, which would make it unlikely that we could have it done without knowing what we were doing.
I have had the flu jab for over 12 years and never been given any form, they have just asked if I suffer from any allergies, to which I answer no and they give me the jab. By making the appointment and then turning up I guess it is a form of consent to the flu jab. Also just had my second covid vaccine , answered the questions they asked and had the vaccine, again consent given by being there.
I said l didn't want flu Jab,he said why you had one last year, mentioned on here, having g hashimoto, not good to have flu Jab,ok,he said,wh we 're you work,l said with the elderly, more of a reason,
It done, hope l feel k,what with everybody that replayed to flu Jab said NO !
I feel bad not standing strong to what l want, hope l don't have any simtioms to flu Jab
I said shades no,he said why not you had it last year, mentioned this site and its no for hashimoto patients,he said up to you,but this will protect you and what does they know,yr surprise to trust yr go.....l don't know if it's me or because of flu Jab,but have had a headache and sore throat all day sence the JAB,
They do it cos they get paid for it. They don't get paid for treating folks with thyroid. Moral of the story avoid the GP during flu jab season, "assaults" are becoming too common. I mentioned on here the other day what happened to my friend when she went to have her ears syringed! Funny way to syringe the ears LOL
I received a letter from GP inviting me to attend for flu jab because I fell into one of the categories on their list.
I didn't fall into any of the categories and felt like asking was there something about my health that I hadn't been told about. I decided not to bother, save my breath for something more important!
I get a letter every year saying 'it's time for your flu jab, you didn't have it last year!' Well, actually, I've never had it. And never will have it!
The letter goes on to say 'if you have concerns about this jab, talk to your GP, he will be able to reassure you.' Yes, like I'm going to believe a man that tells me women don't need testosterone, and magnesium is of no importance to your health! I don't think so.
I'd like to see any doctor come at me with a needle after I'd said no. He would be the one ending up getting the jab! When I was younger, I probably would have rammed it up his you-know-what, but I'm not that agile, these days.
Seriously, Sue, I would just walk out. As gabkad said, that amounts to assault. Have you considered going to the police?
Yes l said no!,but then l was a sucker and beloved him that l first, needed for myself and ,second, where l work in an old people's home.
I feel with the replys on here about flu Jab,next will avoid doctors surgery around flu Jab time, greyhounds that's for replying, hope l do t have to many side effects to it,although for 2days felt like s--t,today
Sat 4th Oct feel more myself, arm still feels bit sore, but did wake up with a bit of sore throat,
