Hi Folks!

Anyone out there who felt ropy after these jabs?

I had my 1st one yesterday and like an idiot I thought I would feel a wee bit better today :·) Instead I feel rubbish :·(

Is this normal, don't want to look at list of possible side effects in case I start imagining things.

Thanks P.P

You are so low in vit B12 that you will need the course of injections to take effect. Don't look at side effects - you don't need to know them. Just allow yourself to know that you are going to feel much better when your B12 is at an optimum level. It is only a hormone after all.

Thank you for that shaws, and thank you for your reply yesterday. I am trying to juggle meds at the moment so I am sure things will work out.

Regards

You dont feel the difference until well after the loading dose

Hello Bluedaffodil,

Thanks for your reply. Is it right to assume that the loading dose is the 1st one?

Apologies for the ignorance, so much to take in with hypo.

Are you taking Folic Acid as well - the two work together - B12 and Folic Acid.... Hope you soon feel better. I too am on injections and always know when I need another dose - so it would suggest you are not yet optimal....

Good luck !

Hi Marz

Just started yesterday, I was given a jab and a prescription for ferrous fumarate.

What is folic acid?

Cheers & Thanks

Pinkpeony,

I myself feel worse the day of or after the injection and usually better one day later. There is a theory that depending on what time of day the injection is given, it will cause one to feel tired or more awake. I believe if it is given earlier in the day it causes more fatigue and the opposite is true. Anyhow, just know that it is NOT an unusual response.

Thanks Susannah

I must admit I still feel 'iffy' 3 days later. I have the second one tomorrow so hope for better things.

Best Wishes Pp
