Well I ended up in A&E on sat as went faint and felt awful. To find out that I have low ferritin levels and still low thyriod. So the thyroxine has been upped and I am on iron tablets. So far so good. Don't feel as anxious as am now being treated at last.

I'm sorry you had to go to the A&E to find you were undermedicated. 50mcg is usually only a starting dose and should have been increased after 6 weeks as it's not usually enough to raise your metabolism.

I hope you feel much better soon after your ferritin is sorted out and increased levo.

Hey

Sounds horrible. Hypo can cause low blood pressure, low blood sugar, balance problems etc which can all cause fainting. tiredthyroid.com/feeling-hy...

It's advised not to take iron with your thyroid supplements - take it at the other end of the day. Also taking a digestive aid (digestive enzymes and betaine HCL with food) can increase absorption of nutrients. As can taking your iron with vitamin C.

My endo professor also had a private practice where I saw him for B12 injections. He then advised me to buy it from Germany and told me to inject 1ml a day for a week, then once a week for a month, then once a month for a year, I now inject every couple of months. Methyl B12 is generally better than hydroxy ....

Thanks guys. Starting to feel better. Got another injection tomorrow then 4 more. Just hope there is no nerve damage. I take the iron for low ferritin. Take 6 hours after the levo. All this medication is a pain. I think 75 mcg will be better. My ears have been popping loads and there isn't as much pressure. Not sure what that is about x
