Welcome to our forum and it would appear from your blood test results that you are hypothyroid. I assume you are now on medication and usually the starting dose of levothyroxine (also known as thyroxine) is 50mcg. You should have another blood test in six weeks followed by an increase, usually 25mcg every 6 weeks till you feel better.

Take your medication every morning before breakfast with one glass of water and wait about 1 hour before breakfast. On the morning of your next blood test don't take your meds until afterwards and have it as early as possible. If you have to go to work you can have breakfast but must leave a gap of 2 hours before and after taking levo so nothing interferes with the uptake. Also always get a copy of your thyroid gland blood tests with the ranges. The ranges are important as labs differ. If your GP hasn't tested Vitamin B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate, ask for these to be done.

I hope you feel better soon.

I was diagnosed hypothyroid at TSH=7. If your results have the same ranges as most in the UK - something like (0.5 to 5.0) for TSH and (12 to 22) for Free T4 then yes your results are way off.

I'm guessing you feel pretty terrible. I hope you get good treatment soon and it works well for you. Don't just accept feeling bad, the doctors should be able to give you enough medication to allow you to enjoy life again. Come back to this forum if you have any questions. People are very helpful here. All the very best.
