I always look at the reviews, though recognise some of them may be fake! Don't do folic acid at the mo, but I take Healthy Origins Vitamin D 5000iu - bought a bottle of 360 gel capsules (easy to swallow!)

Cool, I use a spray for my kids. I give them a few good sprays though :-)

My son dropped a shower door on his toe last year and the doctor was convinced it was broken.

It wasn't. None of my children have ever broken anything despite trying hard ;-)

I'd like to think its because the vit D and minerals I give them.

Just be careful with a spray. When I questioned my GP as to why I was having to take 3,000iu vitD daily she asked me what I was taking. When I answered that it was a spray she advised me that with a spray you get a certain amount of bounce back - in other words the vitd you spray hits your tongue and comes straight back out again. I have changed to drops and found, even though I am still on 3,000iu, that my levels have actually increased that little bit more - so maybe she was right and I was losing a certain amount of the vitd because it was a spray.

I'm not saying don't buy it but I am saying that you might need more of it. When I was using a spray I could only get my level up to about 60, now I am on the drops my levels are finally over the magic 75.

Not something I would have given much thought to but when my GP mentioned it I suppose it did make sense, and my levels improving since taking the equivalent amount in drops seems to make her right.

Hi

I don't get mine from Amazon, I use a sublingual spray called Better You Vit D from nutricentre.com

You just spray under your tongue and let in soak in. You can use TUK10 code for a discount.

It got my levels up pretty quickly.

Not sure about the folic acid but have read FOLATE is better than folic acid (Think folate is natural)

Hope this helps

I take healthy origins,, very good. Or there's doctors best and few others,, I like good quality oil base,, and as few additional fillers as poss,, if you don't like capsules or soft gels then the spray mentioned above is good too,, highest dose of that is 3000 units. Wasn't enough for me .

Something like 1000iu is a maintenance dose. This link may be helpful: imperialendo.com/for-doctor...

Thank you will take a proper look at this later. There's a lot to take in. Should I take a higher dose to start with then maintain at 1000iu x

I took 2 x sprays a day - 1 is 3000iu so 2 is 6000iu

1000iu is a maintenance for when you get your levels up.
