I take all my meds for underactive thyroid. I have been doing this for 20 years now. Why doesn't my body recognise that?
My blood tests for thyroid function always have... - Thyroid UK
My blood tests for thyroid function always have a high TSH for instance my last one TSH 0.18 mU/L Free T4. 11 pmo/L Free T3 4.1 pmo/L
Your TSH is low. Do you have the ranges of your blood tests (the figures are in brackets) so that members can comment on them.
The most important question is 'how do you feel'?
Hi, sorry, yes it is low now. It was high and my doctor asked me to take two tablets in the morning one day and one the next alternating.
the levels are these
TSH 0.18 (0.5-5.5)
Free T4 11 (11.0-21.0)
Free T3 (3.1-6.0)
Previously my TSH was much higher
I take the natural thyroid hormone called Garmin over here in Western Australia. It is hard to find doctors that prescribe it. It was always used before Thyroxine and others were developed. I was on Thyroxine for over 20 years and my health hit bottom until I started researching the problems other people were having on Thyroxine and I switched to the natural thyroid hormone.
In answer to your last reply, I do not feel on top at the moment.
Your T4 is right at the bottom of the range, so it would seem you are undermedicated. Your T3 is not dangerously high, so you could try just taking more of what you are taking at the moment and see if that helps your symptoms.
