After months of complaining about muscle stiffness, unable to: turn over in bed, walk upstairs, dress myself I.e. Putting shoes and socks on, get up from the couch etc etc and being told. It is part of Graves' disease I saw a locus GP yesterday who informs me that I most probably have poly myalgia. I need a blood test to confirm, but in his words I am displaying classic symptoms. Endo's make me so cross!!! rant over

I don't know if this will be helpful. Go to question dated November 23, 2001

PMR is something I was diagnosed with by a GP some 14 years ago. I saw a Rheumatologist who downgraded the diagnosis to Fibromyalgia. Life went on and late in 2005 I was diagnosed with Hashimotos - auto-immune Thyroiditis. I improved on T4 - even better on T4/T3 in some ways and am now T3 only. The information that I have learned from this forum has helped me to improve even more.

You haven't mentioned the treatment you are on - and it would also be helpful if you posted your latest blood tests with ranges - for people to comment.... Have you been diagnosed with Graves or do you have Hashimotos whereby you swing from Hyper to Hypo ? sorry to ask so many questions ....

VitD levels - how are they ?

Hope you soon feel better....

I have been diagnosed with Graves but I have been swinging from high to low. Now endo says I'm in the normal range now. Wouldn't give me results. Never had any other bloods Endo taken me off all medication

Data Protection Act entitles you to see data held on you. Write to the endo requesting the info he withheld or contact the hospital medical records dept and pay £10 for a summary of electronic records. nhs.uk/chq/pages/1309.aspx?...
