Oh me oh my, something extraordinary has occurred...

After two years seeing a specialist for my hashimoto's, trying different combinations of synthetic medications and then starting NDT with endo's assistance which finally resulted into getting a private prescription. I then fought to be put on a 'named patient basis' on the NHS at my docs and eventually received a result, extremely positive they will prescribe it!!!

I am so sorry but I am so delighted I cannot express my happiness at this as I never thought it would happen and makes things so much easier.

All I can say is there is hope and my two page letter must have had an impact!!

That's brilliant, it would be really helpful if you could write a post taking us through the process of how you challenged this, what evidence you provided etc

That is brilliant! I am so pleased for you! The more people that challenge their treatment in such a responsible way, the nearer we get to having better thyroid treatment for all.

I would be very interested to know what sort of thing you wrote in your letter. I need to do my own letter soon.

Please add me to the growing list of people wanting to see a copy of the letter you sent - one day soon I will be trying to get through to my GP, if things turn out the way they seem to be going!
