Help! I was on auto pilot this morning and took my Levothyroxine and Liothyronine when I got up st 0700hrs this morning and have a blood test at 1120hrs.
How much of a difference will it make to the results? I am having the test done as the GP thinks I am under medicated 😡
Depends what your doctor looks at. In such a short time, it won't have much effect on your TSH, but at 11.20, your TSH is going to be quite low, anyway - lower than at 8 am. But your FT4 and FT3 will be higher than they would have been if you hadn't taken them, but by how much... impossible to say.

My issue at the moment is I had a test in March at the hospital which was never followed up and only came to light when I saw the GP yesterday results were:
Ft4 7 (12-24)
Ft3 3.9 (3.1-6.8)
She didn't give me the TSH.
However Oct 16 my results were:
Ft4 11
Ft3 4.8
TSH 0.1
(same ranges as above)
At this point consultant reduced Levi from 75mcg to 50 mcg.
Do you know if it is possible to get Ft4 higher whilst taking Levothyroxine and Liothyronine?

Oh dear. I suppose he thought the TSH was too low, and that's why he reduced it. They really are brainless!
Taking levo should increase the FT4, because levo is T4. And liothyronine is T3. When you are taking T3, the T4 will not rise enormously, because the body only keeps what it needs. But it should rise enough for your needs.
With an FT4 of 7 - way below range - and an FT3 at the bottom of the range, the TSH should be quite high. You really were under-medicated in March!
Thanks for the advice Geeygoose, I just don't know how to get through to them to get my meds right.
It's not surprising that I feel so rough and have gone sick from work - I expect my levels are somewhat lower than in March even with my dumb arse moment this morning taking my meds!
It's very hard to get through to them - sometimes impossible, which is why so many people end up self-treating. They do not have the expertise to understand.
The consultant gave me all the scare factors of heart problems etc when taking too much meds and that is why he reduced my dose. I was taking 100 mcg of t4 and 20mcg of T3 previously and felt much better than I do now although my Ft4 was still low it wasn't as low as it is now!
Heart problems only apply if your FT3 is over-range. It's got nothing to do with the TSH. Your FT3 isn't even mid-range, so you're hardly over-medicated!
I could but the next appointment is two weeks - I had to beg them yesterday to give me the one today 😬
Is there no where else to take the blood test. I never book mine at GPs and always go to walk in clinic at hospital where the endo is or other places where you can get blood tests with appointment in couple of days - google phlebotomy services in your area 
I had it done and they said they would mark on it that I had taken my meds before.
Will wait and see what the results come back as.....

mistake too as no one has ever told me that I should not take the medication before a blood test. I will remember in future. Are you still able to get T3 still?
