Go refuses to do them because tsh is 0.5, even though I've been suffering severe hypothyroid symptoms for 3 years. Thanks

I have just sent mine off to Genova (see ThyroidUK website) by post. You do need someone to take the blood though, luckily I have someone who can do that for me but you can get private phlebotomy done at home.

Hi I use a British company called medichecks,their website is medichecks.com it's just a finger prick sample you send them. It is quite expensive though, it's £139 but that is a full thyroid panel test. It includes;

T4

T3

Thyroid Stimulating Hormone

Free T3

Free T4

Thyroid Antibodies

Thyroglobulin Antibody

Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies

Hi, my doctor took my results seriously. When I gave them my print out they updated my file. I explained to my doctor that the only reason I got it done privately was because I wanted my t3 tested and they wouldn't do it for me. Also with medichecks on most of the tests,if you buy one you get a discount on other tests.

And they can do all that from a fingerprick? That's amazing! I might try them next time, as I'm sure there will be a next time based on the stupid doctor appt I had yesterday!

Yes it's a finger prick sample however, you have to fill up 2 or 3 tiny tubes. It only took about 3-4 minutes. But I strongly suggest asking someone to help you as I done the first tube myself and it took about half an hour!

Hi I did an advanced thryroid profile using Blue Horizon. That was a finger prick home kit. Very straightforward to do.

They include spring loaded lancets which are painless to use.

I took my bloods early one monday morning - posted them off in envelope they provided - and had results emailed Thursday.

I would certainly use them again.

It tests total T4, Free T4, free T3, TSH and both thyroid anti bodies.

Total cost £118 but using TUK10 code get if it for £108.

My GP took on board the results. My tsh and t4 were in range but free T3 only just in range and she agreed to increase my levo because of symptoms.
