Now ready to get full bloods done to present to my GP but if I can get a little off the massive price - or even a cheaper company - I'd love to know
Blue Horizon Blood Tests - does anyone know of ... - Thyroid UK
Blue Horizon Blood Tests - does anyone know of a discount for this?
Yes, there is a discount. It is TUK10. I believe it is cheaper if you get more than one test, so I would give them a phone on Monday.
Wow that was quick Shaws - and thankyou! They have a special offer on the comprehensive test which covers all I need minus FT3 which I will add for and extra £20. Its a heavy £40 to have the blood drawn but at least its local and not too far to travel
I did the home blood test - it was really easy - I got the result I wanted because I did it at 5am x
Sounds good Sheenah - was this with Blue Horizon?
Hello
Yes it was with Blue Horizon - it cost £108 which included a £10 discount with TUK. It is very professional and very easy. They send you a small phial, and three lancets, all the little bits and pieces you need. They give you a doctors Lab report at the end of your test results. I did it at 5am to catch the circadian rhythms, and it made a huge difference to the TSH results - if you want to know more please ask - Why do you want these tests? XX
Hi Sheenah After a long fight (9 years)I got my GP to do a full test. The lab left the FT3 out and nearly all the other results were bottom end of 'range'. If I have to bypass my unhelpful GP I would like some results to either take to an understanding professional or to consider self medication. Its been so long and I just want to feel well.
When I did the test at 4.30pm, the TSH was 3.1 - at 5am it was 5.7. I gave up on the GP and went to a private guy in Winchester who diagnosed me and is treating me with NDT - see my post Yippee Hooray from Monday last week. Of course if you do it yourself at home, you can choose your time. Also, it was the Advanced thyroid profile test I did - results via email. Have you got a diagnosis?
XX
Yes have been on levo for 9 years but very poorly tested and with continuous symptoms which made my life very miserable. I eventually got a dr to agree to testing B12 vitD ferritin and folate and they were all bottom end of the range. I felt I needed FT3 to see if I'm converting ok They do a BIG blood test on offer right now - does all but FT3 which I can add to it. Thankyou so much for your help - will look for the home test
I'm sure offer is still on for drawing the blood free with a code on blue horizon webpage ? At the top of page think it's in red writing ... Good luck best money I ever spent l did comp v plus ft 3 too x
