Do you mean prescription desiccated thyroid like Nature-Throid, Erfa or Armour?

If so, have you managed to get a prescription? You can only get it supplied by a pharmacy within the UK if you have a prescription.

Hello Rod. That's the problem I do not have a prescription as the doctor is refusing to give it to me.

Have you tried changing GP? We have a list of Private GPs and also a list of 'good' NHS Endos, some of whom may be willing to prescribe NDT.

Hi I assume you have tried T4 and T3 first as you should get that OK.I always have to have a private script for armour, Erfa.I know people do buy it from abroad on a UK site. Have you thought about it? Will you still be able to get or pay for TSH, T4 and Free T3, for safety.Further details have to be by PM.

Hello Jackie, no I have only been given Levothyroxine for the last 18 years and I have never felt well. It would be great if I can try T3 also. I am going to bloods tomorrow, to have my T3's checked but I had to fight for that.

Hi, I live in east Yorkshire and am lucky as my GP writes me a private script for Erfa. Before this I bought Armour from abroad without a script.

Hi Jan what is Erfa? Why did you try this were you not satisfied with Armour?

Erfa is a brand of NDT. I just find it suits me better.
