Hello again to you all I really do appreciate your responses it helps to get a better insight to this illness that can have such an impact on your well being. 17 weeks pregnant now and posted last week because I was suffering anxiety, headaches, twitching. My latest results are as follows: serum folate > 20.0 B12 398 TSH 1.6 Free T4 13.3, I didn't take my levo until after the test. I am feeling a lot better the twitching and anxiety has stopped. I also have a bit more energy thankfully. Could it have been the bodies reaction to my dosage increase and now I've adjusted? Thanks again Elaine

Hi Your T4 is still quite low, probably ,as you always need ranges ( differ), also would really help you to know the Free T3 result as possible that you may need T3 too, either now or in the futureT4 generally liked to be in top third of range and FT3 near the top.. Always ask for a print out of all tests + ranges. With thyroid treatment, it should start low with repeat tests and alteration in meds as required. This can often take a year to be right. can often seem right and then go down again. Make sure you have the range for iron/ferritin, needs to be well in range, and vit D ( hormonal), if low , corrected calcium before treatment on a script.Diabetes too should be tested with thyroid disease as also, autoimmune and hormonal. If the B12 is high in range ( autoimmune and hormonal) that will be fine. Always ask fro a print out with ranges, hospital, secs and GP receptionists.Of course, all could change post baby becaus of the hormones.

Very best wishes,

Jackie

Your body will doubtless go through more changes as your pregnancy progresses, as it isn't just your thyroid hormones which are in a state of flux. Try not to worry. And might it be an idea to mention these things (and your thyroid condition) to your ante-natal carer, if you haven't already.
