Armour vs Nature Thyroid

I have just ordered Armour but now have read quite a few comments from people online saying they prefer Nature-Throid due to a reformulation of Armour which isnt as effective?

does anyone have any knowledge/thoughts? thank you x

Armour was reforumlated, and a lot of people didnt like it, however they changed it back to almost how it was previously. i think anyone that changed either just didnt get on with armour, or did it during the period it was different. Not everyone gets on with the same meds, so stands to reason some wont get on with armour, most likely some of us on armour wouldnt get on with nature-throid. You would need to try to find out for yourself which one suits you

thats true....just a bit frustrating because im ordering it from overseas, ordering 3 months worth and having to wait weeks for it to arrive...all that and not knowing if it will suit me or not!

You'll have to take Armour for at least 3 months to know if it's the medication for you or whether you want to try nature-throid. You may find it arrives rather faster than you fear. Mine always does.

Thanks I've actually order some nature throid as well now, it was a lot cheaper than the armour... I might start off with that, did you have to pay import fees?

Don't worry too much. I think the difference between the NDTs is more a matter of tweaking not complete failure of one and success with another so you will get to see how you cope with NDT then move on from there. I'm assuming you are not currently taking any brand of NDT?

Before I joined this site the brandof NDT I used was whatever was available at the pharmacy I was using when I ordered. I didn't realise there was a difference! Innocent or what.?

Take the Armour you've ordered and discuss your experience on here then people may be able to suggest which brand to try next if you need to move on from Armour based on your actual experience.
