From looking at these results, I notice your MCV is towards the upper end of the range. You may want to look into whether you may have low levels of vitamin B12 or folate. It doesn't hurt to take a B12 supplement and a B complex which contains folic acid. They are water soluble vitamins so you will excrete any that you don't need.

The others look ok but you may want to ask your doctor about your low lymphocyte count. I'm not medically trained so you will need to ask your doctor.

Good morning, Opppps is that the time, just got up with very sore throat, just to let you know I am taking a b12 100ug and b complex tablet and selenium, magnesium, A C D E and calcium tablets , my b12 blood test in August was 373 in a range of 100-911 but Doctor of course refuse to give me the injections, bearing in mind my ovaries were remove in Dec 2007 and my thyroid was removed in June 2013, I was taking lansoprazole for many many years for GORD and hiatus hernia, I had treatment for Heliopolis p bacteria in March 2012 so I reckon I could have malabsorption problems, I also have IBS, plus of course a very painful gallstone and cysts in my liver that are being monitored. I stopped taking the lansoprazole when I read about the damage they are doing and now resort to taking Gaviscon this my acrid gets too bad, but still suffer every day with GORD. At least I now have my t3 as well as my levo I just wish I was feeling better I have good days but very rare. I have applied for the new PIP benefit but I'm still waiting to hear from them. Thank you for caring xxxxx

100micrograms of B12? That is not a lot at all, and it's not easy to absorb either! 5000mcg sub-lingual tablets are widely available. You should supplement it using methylcobalamin too, NOT the cheaper less safe cyanocobalamin.

Due to malabsorbtion, Folate (not folic acid) might well be a god idea too.

As for reflux, it may sound hard to believe, but for many people (esp. in hypothyroidism!) to have LOW stomach acid causing exactly the same symptoms! If you have had Helicobacter pylori, it makes me suspect that even more, as it thrives under those conditions - ion.ac.uk/information/onarc...

For info see here: scdlifestyle.com/2012/06/hy...

My partner remedied reflux, and serious heart palpitations caused by malabsorbtion with Omeprazole by supplementing with Betaine hydrochloride - there is info linked on how to do a simple challenge test on that site.

Thank you for your superb advice xx

Excellent advice from picton :) Careful supplementing with Betaine hydrochloride until you have confirmed that low acid is the problem but for many it is low acid rather than high, especially with hypothyroidism.

Hi As Carolyn says, mostly fine. The Lym, count not very low, it is for infections. if goes lower at retest then further tests may be desirable.

Best wishes,

Jackie
